Geoffrey Lewis was the Chairman of the Information Retrieval Group of the Museums Association (1967-76) and the Director of Museum Studies at Leicester University (1977-1989). He talks about his part in early museum computerisation in the UK , namely the Sedgwick Project, IRGMA, and the MDA.

“Ideas for Museums: a Biography of Museum Computing” is a research project about the history of museum computerization. The idea is to collect interviews with museum professionals who were/are working on implementing digital technologies in everyday museum practice.
